About
The aim of the workshop is to teach the participants recipes that bring some authentic Korean tastes on the dinner table, and at the same time, are easy to prepare. The workshop focuses on recipes that involve ingredients which are available and easily accessible from local stores, thus that are feasible to cook for anyone who has no experiences with Korean cuisine. The Korean Kitchen - Cooking Workshop is an easy and fun way to get acquainted with the rich and palatable flavors of the diverse and colorful Korea.
About Mimi Kang:
Mimi Kang is a mother of two who after moving from Korea to Europe found it difficult to find good Korean food around. Missing the flavors of home, she started to cook Korean dishes herself from ingredients available in local stores. The satisfying results of her family-like cooking practice are the affordable, authentic Korean dishes out of which three will be on her menu for the workshop.
The menu:
As an appetizer, Mimi will lead the participants through the cooking of a delicious soya bean paste vegetable soup (doenjang jjigae). The second dish on the menu is Korean jjapche, which is a noodle bowl with beef and vegetables. The last course of Mimi’s dinner is a savory Korean vegetable pancake. Please note:
Registration for the workshop is needed in advance due to the limited number of possible participants.
