About

Class Room would like to invite you to a new exhibition of recent works on paper by the painter Kiran Samra. These works emerge from the dual process of looking and making, she has begun to develop a personal vocabulary, that is in part informed by her memories of travelling. Samra builds atmospheric spaces made from layering of delicate brush marks, these spaces are often interrupted by abrupt additive or reductive gestural marks.

Born in Leamington in 1995, she is currently undertaking undergraduate studies at the School of Art & Design, Coventry University. An exhibition of works on canvas are currently on show in Birmingham at Urban Coffee in the Jewellery Quarter until the end of April.
