Every year the European Concert Hall Organization (ECHO) presents the Rising Stars programme, a selection of talented artists nominated by the programmers and artistic directors of the most important concert halls in Europe. These musicians are supported in their professional development and perform on a tour through several concert halls across de ECHO network. Since 1995, this programme has helped build the careers of many of today's most prominent artists. Five soloists and a string quartet are coming to Casa da Música, and their recitals include new works commissioned to outstanding contemporary composers. This year, four soloists, a piano trio and a string quartet will perform at Casa da Música including in their recitals new pieces by composers Andrea Tarrodi, Benjamin Attahir, Roxanna Panufnik, Camille Pépin, David Helbrock and Raquel García- Tomás, specifically commissioned to be premiered on this tour.
