Academic and writer Professor Sandro Mezzadra discusses the keyword 'borders' in this Keywords Lecture

Keywords takes its title from Raymond Williams' seminal book Keywords: a Vocabulary of Culture and Society first published in 1976, which looks at how the meaning of words change as the context in which they are used changes about them. Sandro Mezzadra is Associate Professor of Political Theory at the University of Bologna. He is on the editorial boards of Studi Culturali, Scienza & Politica and Filosofia Politica. He is the co-editor of The Borders of Justice with à‰tienne Balibar and Ranabir Samaddar (Temple University Press 2011). Border as Method, a book he is currently writing with Brett Neilson, will come out in 2012 from Duke University Press. He has written widely on the areas of migration, capitalism, colonialism and post-colonialism, Italian operaismo and autonomist Marxism.
