About
The exhibition at The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery tours a selection of works following the centenary retrospective at the Victoria Art Gallery, Bath in 2016. The exhibition brings sculptures and drawings of the 1950s coinciding with the time when he undertook the prestigious and pioneering Gregory Fellowship back to Leeds and includes loans of work drawn from public and private collections across Britain. It aims to highlight the artist's strengths, especially his enduring focus on the human figure and his expressive linked figures in particular.
