Kate McMorrine’s work catalogues the biologically berserk flora and fauna that inhabit and thrive inside half-remembered nightmares. An unholy safari to the squelchy folds of your inner-most brains.
About
Like taking a glimpse inside the broken fever dreams of David Attenborough, witness creatures bad and friendly in equal measure strut wildly across the plains, before scurrying off sideways to give birth to something worse in a hole.
Kate McMorrine works in a variety of mediums including print, model making, installation, drawing and painting. She sources inspiration from collected printed material and mass produced objects and creates surreal pieces with a dark humour.
Her background is in printmaking and she has exhibited in Europe, Japan and the U.S.A.
She lives on the Isle of Skye.
