As if coming from a wild planet, or from the strangest of dreams, the characters populating the drawings, collages and paintings of Karine Rougier, appear to us in a multitude of mysterious skits. Incantatory dances, monstrously joyful parades, shamanic rites whose logic escapes us, voluptuous or amorous poses ... It is a world in itself, located where we do not know, in which evolves a rogue crowd, adorned with magnificent masks and skins Sunday best. A world to discover at Studio Fotokino, where a selection of recent works by the Marseille artist will be presented, as well as an installation of 16mm films made with Valérie Pelet.
