About

VIVID is delighted to announce details of the first UK tour of new work by artists Karin Kihlberg & Reuben Henry. Supported by Arts Council England, Birmingham Cultural Partnership and The Henry Moore Foundation, this major touring programme has been developed by the artists and VIVID in collaboration with ArtSway, Citric, and Danielle Arnaud. To launch the tour VIVID presents Inbindable Volume, the inaugural commission developed in residence at VIVID. Filmed in Birmingham's iconic Central Library, the city's most infamous example of Brutalist architecture, Inbindable Volume is an ambitious new multi-screen video installation exploring the journey between conception and materialization - both in architecture and books - and what becomes of ideologies after they have been realised in material form. The exhibition opens at VIVID on 28 July and continues to 21 August 2010. The tour continues with new commissions at Danielle Arnaud, London (17 September-24 October 2010). In 2011 the works will be presented at Citric Gallery, Italy, and Artsway, Hampshire. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VIVID | 140 HEATH MILL LANE | BIRMINGHAM | B9 4AR T: 0121 766 7876 | E: info@vivid.org.uk http://www.vivid.org.uk ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VIVID gratefully acknowledges support from Arts Council England and The Bond Company.
