Middlesex University in London presents
An inaugural group show, KALEID brings together Middlesex University's eight artists in residence to exhibit in one space. The two-year residency, which began in October 2008, supports emerging artists to create new work in their established fields: in the form of painting, sculpture, print, illustration, installation and photography.
Artists are not just creators but highly trained observers and it is through the exploration of their interests that we are able to see such an enormous combination of different and alternative views. Exhibiting work made during their time spent in residence places an emphasis on the specific period of time shared by each of these artists. The works exist as examples of the creative process that such a period of support makes possible; each artist providing a sense of the distances exploration and experimentation can reach.
