What’s that familiar feeling when you embark on the unknown again? Jumping into the void of uncertain territory over and over starts to have a level of comfort on its own. Even the unknown becomes easier to digest when you reach for solid touchstones from earlier memories. “Just Semantics” is a photo album of reference points, moments you can touch when nothing else is within reach. It is neither past or future. This collection depicts the moment.
Alysia Yip-Hoi Martin is a multi-disciplinary designer based out of Montreal. Her background in Fine Arts and Design has lead to her first collaboration as a curator with Gallery Robertson-Arès. Yip-Hoi Martin's passion for sculpture developed into furniture and jewelry design. She continues her practice as founder of Maison Alysia while keeping involved in the Art world through various committees in Montreal.
