About
We are proud to present New York based photographer, June Canedo's brand new exhibition, 'Black Bike Week' at theprintspace Gallery hosted by The Independent Photography Festival as part of IPF2017.
The series was taken in 2015 during Black Bike Week, an annual motorcycle rally that takes place in Canedo’s hometown of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
A child of immigrants, June was raised in rural Brazil until the age of nine before moving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Her photography takes inspiration from both the cultures and the communities of color within both places. She has exhibited work in New York, Budapest, Berlin, and Melbourne and has been published in over 30 publications in the last two years.
