Roman Road is thrilled to present a pioneering exhibition by German artist Julius Heinemann. For this innovative site-specific installation, Heinemann employs the gallery space as a three-dimensional canvas, transforming the room itself into a painting. Working with the given characteristics of the space, he utilises the basic tools of the medium, making traces and marks, colours and lines to create a dialogue between the architecture and painting whilst originating an experience of place and time. The opening on 20 September 2014 will be an all-day event and will be in the company of the artist. Visitors are encouraged to enter the exhibition individually in order to have the opportunity to fully engage with the space. Julius Heinemann's exhibition commences on 22 September 2014 and will be on display until 20 October 2014.
