Award-winning photographer and filmmaker Judith Burrows is best known for magazine portraits, album covers and videos she produces for folk and world musicians. The paintings in her current exhibition at Cecil Sharp House are inspired by the locations she sources for her photographic and film work.
“Narratives of Location” is on show at Cecil Sharp House until 22 January 2017. The exhibition is accompanied by a full colour catalogue with words by renowned arts writer and editor Anna McNay. You are invited to join Anna and Judith for a Q&A from 7pm on Monday 7 November.
They will be discussing the works included in the show; from the narratives and stories captured in the paintings to the significance of the materials, methods and framing; as well as Judith’s journey from filmmaker and photographer to fine artist and painter.
If you have not yet seen “Narratives of Location”, please arrive in time to view the exhibition in advance.
The event will be followed by Q&A and drinks. Entry is free but places are limited. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
