About
The RYDER Projects is pleased to present Forecasting, a solo exhibition by Jude Crilly. Through sculpture and video the exhibition projects the world of forecasting - the process of predicting future trends based on present data. The gallery space becomes a set of speculation, where the world of fashion interlaces with abstraction, virtuality and complexity. The artist has created a lookbook PDF animation which is projected into the gallery space, forecasting an array of emerging trends. A modern-day prophet, depicted as a multi-faced avatar, hangs on the walls of the gallery, scanning the surroundings for symbols and patterns, seeking the epiphany of the hypertrend.
