Josephine Pryde. How Frequency The Eye

In May, Haus am Waldsee is presenting a comprehensive solo exhibition by the British artist Josephine Pryde, who lives in Berlin. Since the beginning of her artistic career, Pryde has researched the creation and consumption of images, focusing in particular on photography and associated production methods. She challenges her chosen medium by adapting and questioning concepts and ideas created through photographic images from areas such as fashion, advertising and science. The exhibition at Haus am Waldsee will bring together Pryde's earlier works with new works and continue her negotiations of the medium in order to re-examine established modes of perception as well as expectations regarding the representation of the visible.
