In this new exhibition Jonathan use’s found objects as a starting point to explore, abstraction, texture and colour. Often embedding the object into the work and then transforming it though a gradual process of applying and removing, Oils, Inks, and wax.

Jonathan Shears continues to create work that explores how patterns and texture occur through a process of mark making and layering colour and texture. In this new series of works he has started embedding found objects ( printers stencils) into his work, and then transforming it though a gradual process of applying and removing, Oils, Inks, and wax.
