About
Jon Doran’s work takes the classical subjects of still life, portraiture and figures in landscape and rearticulates them through a digitally influenced and fragmented approach to painting. His brand new collection, titled ‘Continuations’, demonstrates his impressive ability to master and interpret each of these challenging subject forms.
Jon graduated from Falmouth University just 3 years ago, where he was shortlisted for the University’s prestigious ‘Midas Award’. His work had already won him the ‘Young Artist Award’ at the Cork Street Open Exhibition in 2013. This exhibition is Jon's second solo exhibition in London, after a highly successful debut last year.
