For his first exhibition with Sutton Lane, John Miller has produced a new series of sculptures. Miller's wall reliefs and assemblages of everyday plastic objects sheathed in golf paint which, since 2006, has replaced the previous excrement-like brown coating. Miller's work presents itself as metaphorical criticism of the greed and fetishism that characterize our society, pointing to and investigating on the mechanisms of value attribution, most importantly with regards to art works.
