Jolomos ninth London Exhibition
About
John Lowrie Morrison, paints the Scottish landscape under the nom de plume, "Jolomo". One of Scotland's best loved artists, Jolomo captures the Scottish Highlands in vivid colour in his dramatic oil paintings. He is renowned for painting the West Coast of Scotland, where he lives. His forthcoming London solo exhibition is the biggest exhibition of Morrison's year and goes by the title "A Hebridean Light".His paintings depict the ever changing light and elements, whether that is a snow laden mountain, a wave crashing off the rocks or the ubiquitous wee white "but and ben" cottage. Jolomo captures the twilight or "gloaming" in Scotland through a distinctive azure blue. His compositions often evidence man in the landscape, a telegraph pole, post box or ladder against the wall, but rarely include people.
Jolomo's ninth London one man exhibition will feature paintings of the Hebridean island landscapes.
