'Whilst working on a swimming pool commission in 2014 in Houston Texas I began to get glimpses in the pool of the light and 'other worldliness' I had been searching for in my paintings. The pool was behaving like a lens or camera obscura transmitting ephemeral images of the environment, the world, the atmosphere and space which could be captured on the iPhone.'

'This became my muse, along with another collector’s pool in Arizona, inspiring a new direction in my work. In these recent paintings I am getting closer to expressing life free of the body, informed by my experiences, through serious illness, of many insights, visions and glimpses of where I come from and where I’m going. 'Out of This World'.
