Judy Stafford Gallery are delighted to presenting the first Solo Exhibition of paintings by well-known painter John C Brown in Wimbledon Village.
About
John Brown's paintings are inspired by his travels around his native Scotland, Cuba, Venice and Tuscany. They are brief evocative descriptins of the real life scenes that catch his eye. Back in the studio he begins the process of bringing to life his sketchbook scenes. Paint and mixed media materials are layered on the canvas, sanded back and layered again to create the surface from which will emerge the painting - abstract or figurative his paintings are colourful and wonderful.
