I’VE SEEN THAT FACE BEFORE features a suite of new paintings by New York-based abstractionist Joanne Greenbaum. In this exhibition, Greenbaum’s large-scale, colorful abstractions brim with energy: curvilinear patterns intertwine with sharp, repeated marks and large swaths of pigment, all guided, principally, by the tension between failure and recuperation. The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue featuring an interview with artist Amy Sillman.
