About
The English Artist is delighted to be hosting an exhibition of work by one of the gallery's most popular local artists, Jo Faulkner.
Traditionally trained to paint Jo's diverse career has always involved textile design. Today she combines original artisan techniques to create her multi-layered, intricate collages which are inspired by the flora and fauna found in the surrounding countryside.
Jo's organic design process always starts with a detailed drawing. The next stage sees a visual story develop where the patterns and colours start to emerge. Then, an exciting range of media including inks, acrylics, gold leaf and hand-crafted paper are used to enhance the design.
This lovely exhibition will be featuring a selection of original paintings, Giclee limited edition prints, cushions, lavender bags, cards and wrapping paper.
