A solo exhibition of unique ceramic sculptures, inspired by abandoned buildings which carry traces of lives lost or changed by natural disasters, war and social change.
About
It could hardly be more appropriate that this exhibition of works by Norfolk artist, Jo Arnold, features unique sculptures inspired by abandoned buildings, which carry the traces of lives lost or changed by natural disasters, war and social change.
Jo Arnold's ceramic sculptures have a raw beauty and are rich in texture and meaning. Her upright figures, with their 'shells' reflecting the body-memory of discarded garments, feature intricate, multi-level chambers, revealing hidden secrets and hinting at former lives. Her surfaces are given minimal glazing and she often incorporates found objects into the finished works.
A fascinating exhibition, with works priced form £250-£850.
Open Saturdays 11am-4pm and by arrangement.
