About

Jessica Wan is a recent graduate from Wimbledon College of Art. She is preoccupied by consumer culture and how as a society we find escapism through ornamentation. Jessica will be using the First Step Showcase to develop an existing sculptural project, transforming the space into an artificial garden.

Playing around with the architecture of the space, Jessica will present 'Welcome to My Garden', working with intricate sculptures designed to encourage the audience to take a closer look.

Jessica's work plays with the idea of inviting the outside in, allowing the audience to enjoy the grass whatever the weather.
