Rà ¥gskär Island by Martina Lindqvist is a series of mysterious landscapes of a small island off the coast of Finland, which Lindqvist used to visit each summer. Rocket by Alice Myers captures children as they propel themselves through water, letting go of safety and launching themselves into the unknown. Ladykillers by James Pogson is a series of Technicolor portraits that takes its title from an international women's Thai kickboxing tournament. People's Park by Kurt Tong was inspired by his childhood memories of Hong Kong and presents deserted Communist-era parks. Untitled Series by Nicky Walsh demonstrates a pared-down approach that invites contemplation of mass produced objects and sterile office environments. The Jerwood Photography Awards are funded by the Jerwood Charitable Foundation and managed by Portfolio Magazine.
