Discover musings from found graffiti
About
Come and see this pop-up installation of graphic postcards and signs showcasing a collection of texts appropriated from found graffiti documented across Europe and beyond.
Explore a wide range of thoughts and declarations left behind by random strangers, from personal to political and everything in between, altogether revealing collective threads of contemporary life.
Inspired by encounters with urban spaces between 2011-2018 , this series captures words and messages in multiple languages including English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Lithuanian.
Part of an ongoing project by Patrick Joseph, who previously published a photobook on the same subject called 'Poet Fool' (2016), it continues an active exploration of raw graffiti and other manifestations of human experience.
The texts will be installed at projektraum messing, a former-shop-turned-project space in the bohemian village of Rixdorf in Neukolln, where the concept began in 2011 after a chance encounter with the show's title on a nearby bridge, which loosely translates into English as "Every dream has its way."
