About

The shows origins come from Lewis's nostalgic memory of living next to a bird safe haven in North Wales but Lewis's humour turns our attention to a more cynical experience. Lewis's work questions current social issues with humour and a hint of sarcasm. Everyday happenings are given surreal titles that often create an unexpected scenario. His paintings are often approached with heavily applied oil paint that’s layered to create contrast of texture, thus creating a tactile sense of depth.
