In November Candid hosts its flagship event – The Islington Contemporary Arts & Design Fair (ICADF). This event features different creative disciplines over 2 weekends.

About

The Islington Contemporary Art and Design Fair is an established showcase for Artists and Designers to promote and sell their work in one of the largest independent contemporary art spaces in central London. The next event will take place during November 2015 at the Candid Galleries and will comprise 2 exhibitions showcasing painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking and illustration, jewellery, textiles, fashion, accessories, ceramics, glass and furniture. The exhibitions will run from Saturday to Sunday with a private view on the Friday evening. The ICADF is a unique event with a dynamic mix of both emerging young artists and those with established reputations.

Venue:

Candid Arts Galleries, located directly behind the Angel tube station in London and within a short walk from the Business Design Centre and Crafts Council, in the heart of Islington. It is a fifteen minute walk from Kings Cross and has regular buses to central London.

Candid Arts Trust is based in Torrens Street in two Victorian warehouses totalling 23,000 square feet which have been converted into 6,500 sqft of exhibition space, as well as 25 artists studios, screening rooms, rehearsal spaces and a café. As a self funded registered charity, the main aims of the trust are to promote arts and arts education with particular emphasis on newly graduated artists and designers.
