Join us for the opening of Shoreditch Arts Club’s newest moving image commission "ISIT II" by artist George Henry Longly, curated by Tony Tremlett and Ruth Waters. The evening will host live DJs including He-Man's Twin Sister She Ra, Prem Deep, and Ghlplease from 6pm.
About
ENTRANCE IS FREE BUT RSVP ESSENTIAL HERE
Longly traces a line through ancient stargazing cultures, science fiction, and hyper-online living to articulate our arrival at the extreme present. His research into deep sea environments and the material cultures of zero-gravity living, informs an exploration of contemporary experience; an alienating modernity characterised by fluidity and seclusion, connectedness and isolation. These are the conditions the artistic process contends with and they become the critical impulse for the work.
