Haunt invites you to join us again for the revelation of August's featured artist. This month we are proud to announce our featured artist is Ipsos CP presenting her 'Ataraxia – Genesis ' mandala drawing series.

About

>PERSONAL STATEMENT: In the last few years, my interest has laid mostly in scrutinising the ins and outs of the human face. I am often fascinated by intricacies and little details in everything. No doubt, this in depth obsessional observation is partially due to my diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome.

Drawing for me is an emotional response to my environment. This manifests itself as a clinical mapping.

After a trip to the Amazonian jungle in Peru in 2015 whereby I was exposed to the tribal brew of Ayahuasca, my attention has shifted towards an investigation of geometry and its implications in nature.

The mandala is a shape found in many cultures and religions all over the world. It represents the universe as well as an individual search for unity.

'Ataraxia – Genesis ' is the beginning of this influence.

Ataraxia – A state of serene calmness.
Genesis – The origin or mode of formation of something.

>MUSIC FROM ADE LAUGEE

Ade Laugée has been on the underground dance music scene since 2001. He has Dj’d for the likes of Raja ram, Eat Static, Banco De Gaia, Dreadzone Sound system & OTT and was a resident Dj at Planet Angel between 2006 & 2009. In 2010 he started producing music and a year later released his debut track with legendary club movement Whirl-Y-Gig on their 30th Anniversary “Global Disco” compilation album. Since then he has released 2 EP’s under his Orange Ade moniker that has now grown into a uniquely sounding, live 2 piece, Drum & Bass act. When drawing inspiration Ade prefers not to attach himself to any particular genre but instead consciously invests his efforts to emit thought provoking, uplifting, positive vibes. It is with versatile mind-set that has provided many performance opportunities to traverse a very wide spectrum of sound, all tailored to suit the space and time.
