An installation of vibrant, sculptural collages invades the gallery at Ollie Quinn.
About
Infrathin, our relationship between technology and the environment are revealed in themes of nature and the everyday which are prevalent in the found images that pervade Noelle Genevier’s collages. These works which are often 3d and sculptural contain the intertwining of pattern, shape and colour to create opposing perspectives.
Genevier’s work questions object orientated ontology through infrathin, looking at the space between the warp and the weft and the objects that are on the periphery of our vision, investigating the unseen. The materiality of paper and unexpected similarity between disparate images; the idea that all things are equal and meshed together like jigsaw pieces combined with our interaction between our environment and technology are Genevier’s driving forces.
