For the first time in Germany, we are showing paintings and drawings by New Yorker Gary Petersen to start our changing presentations under the title INVENTUR.
About
With his colorful abstract works, the renowned artist creates orderly chaos through the use of irregular geometric shapes and curved lines in vibrant compositions. Some of the shapes and arrangements in Petersen's paintings find their origins in his drawings.
Gary Petersen, born 1956 in Staten Island, NY, graduated from Pennsylvania State University and the School of Visual Arts. He lives and works in New York. His artworks are in several private and public collections, including the Dallas Museum of Art (Texas) and the Jewish Museum (New York). In New York, he is represented by McKenzie Fine Art.
