Intuit presents: new paintings by Georgie Wilkin, exploring the role of the subconscious, intuition and risk in the creative process. Joined by Dr Sarah Wood for a talk at 6pm, they will discuss the importance of freedom and spontaneity within the making process
About
In a one-day takeover of The Freud Museum, British artist Georgie Wilkin presents Intuit. A show of new paintings exploring the subconscious and our inner instinct in life and in art. After the success of her last show, On Being, she continues the exploration of the psyche in all its enigmatic complexities and invites new ways of seeing through intuition.Georgie is also delighted to be joined again by psychoanalytic psychotherapist Dr Sarah Wood for a further discussion delving into the heart of creative desires and their root in psychoanalytic theory. When comprehension traverses intuition and meets a bestial desire for connection, the process of creating becomes a ruthless ally. Join us for an afternoon of art, conversation and a celebration of the glorious unknown. http://www.georgiewilkin.com
