Artist and master printmaker Martyn Grimmer will introduce you to both drawing and photographic platemaking and printing using this sensitive and flexible intaglio printmaking method.

About

Photopolymer Gravure uses steel plates with a light sensitive coating to produce beautiful tonal and linear intaglio prints. This method is acid free, using ultraviolet light and water to develop the plates. The course is suitable for those with limited printmaking experience. It requires the participants to have suitable drawing and photographic imagery prior to the course to develop. Guidance and full preparation notes will be given. The course emphasis is on exploring the possibilities of photopolymer gravure for fine art. Martyn will be assisted by studio printmaker Amy-Jane Blackhall. You will receive individual and group tuition.
