Join us for this unique, day-long course at the South London Gallery led by artist Jake Garfield.
About
‘What is a self-portrait?’ ‘To what extent can an artist’s public persona ever reflect their true self?’
The day is split into three parts. The course begins with an introductory talk, followed by a guided tour of Danh Vo: untitled.
After lunch, a discussion on Danh Vo’s work will expand upon conversations from the morning. Then, participants will put ideas explored throughout the day into practice through a series of exercises in drawing and monotype printmaking.
Participants will create a set of unique prints in the session and take away the skills to create more at home.
This course is suitable for all experience levels.
