Showing work by local and regional exploring the nature of our relationship to trees.

About

The exhibition looks at the significance of trees in the landscape, at their significance to us for use as a practical working material, as living forms in the natural world and how we view them through the myths and legends we have created around them. A walk in the woods might highlight the simple beauty of nature or evoke deep and ancient fears of being lost in some dark place.

The fifteen artists, whose work will be shown at The Chapel Gallery, have each been invited to respond in their own way to this subject. The work on show will range from traditional paintings, prints and drawings through to more abstract concepts of trees in both two and three dimensional works. There will be an artist present each day available to talk in more detail about the work in the exhibition. The gallery is a welcoming space in which to take a look at new work and make new discoveries. Light refreshments will be available in the pop-up café. For more details go to the website at www.thechapelbromyard.com
