About
Cinema, as a relatively new phenomenon, has been subject to a lot of transformation and the way we watch films is changing. Traditionally 'going to the movies' was a collective, un-interrupted, maybe even once in a lifetime experience. First with the invention of Television and now with pocket sized screens, the viewer now has complete control over when, where and how they watch a film.
Using typography and collage to translate and interpret moving image, this workshop invites you sit in the Director’s chair.
“[Hitchcock] was a meticulous craftsman willing to talk about filmmaking relying on visual manipulation.” David Thomson, How To Watch a Movie
This event is part of the Camberwell Space Projects exhibition Into The Fold which runs from 1 March - 15 April 2016
This event is free and open to all.
