(www.into-action.us) at 1726 N Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA . is a celebration of community power + cultural resistance, bringing together hundreds of the nation's top visual artists, activists and influencers for creative installations, powerful panels, and music performances. The nine-day festival of unprecedented scale is running in Downtown L.A. from Saturday, January 13 - Sunday January 21, 2018 , to shine a light on injustices and galvanize communities to turn ideas into action. INTO ACTION! falls on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and marks the one-year anniversary of both the presidential inauguration and the Women’s March. A 40,000-sq. ft. raw space has transformed into a gallery that will include artists such as Andrea Bowers, Shepard Fairey, Hank Willis Thomas, Ernesto Yerena, Dread Scott, Glenn Kaino, Edgar Arceneaux, Carole Feuerman, Emory Douglas, Frohawk Two Feathers, Ken Gonzales-Day, Mary Iverson, Michael Murphy, Patrick Martinez, Robbie Conal, Sam Durant, Sherin Guirgus, Swoon, Zoe Buckman among many others. Installations have been commissioned to deliver important messages that illustrate the overall themes and collective values of the event such as: Justice is a Human Right, Together We Rise, No Human is Illegal and No Human Should Feel Unsafe, This Moment - In History, Manifesting Solutions, and Love, Peace, and Empathy to engage the public and drive social commentary with powerful imagery.
