Interiors in Scottish Art

View from the Inside is a varied and wide ranging collection of works from the City Art Centre's collection which explores the world of the interior. The exhibition combines historic and contemporary works in a range of media and examines how artists have depicted different kinds of internal spaces, from social spaces such as the pub or café, religious interiors, to the very personal space of the mind.

Intriguingly, the exhibition also explores how the decoration of internal spaces around us affects our attitudes and behaviour, and what our own interiors say about us. Featured artists include JD Fergusson, FCB Cadell, JH Lorimer, ES Lumsden, Christina Ross, William Gillies, Alberto Morrocco and Jane Brettle.
