This is a six-week course that offers participants the opportunity to explore various intaglio techniques including drypoint etching (scratching an image directly into the plate using a needle), chine collé (collage method), non-toxic etching (hard ground) and collagraph/ carborundum printing (collaged textures).
About
As well as gaining an understanding of intaglio printing, printmaking materials and using a printing press, participants will also produce a series of prints over the duration of the course.
Suitable for beginners and those wishing to improve their skills. Light refreshments and all materials will be provided but workshoppers might find it helpful to bring a sketchbook for ideas.
