About
This one-day art event will consist of a series of presentations and demos by socially engaged artists from around the North of England showing their methods of engaging people in use of digital networks for the first time. These could be as specific as Facebook or as broad as cloud computing. The intention is to share creative processes that stimulate engagement. It is being called a festival to emphasize the celebratory aspects and differentiate it from more 'learned' events such as symposia or conferences. But it won't be a loud or unruly affair, despite its name...The festival will be co-chaired by Ann Light, Reader in Interaction, Media and Communication at Sheffield Hallam University and Karen Martin of the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London.
