A poetry reading and workshop.

Poets Maria Isakova Bennett and Michael Brown will discuss the development of new work inspired by our exhibition, North: Identity, Photography, Fashion.

Poets Maria Isakova Bennett and Michael Brown will read their poetry created after viewing the exhibition, discuss their own processes of redrafting work, and run a workshop in which participants will produce their own writing (poetry, prose poetry, or prose) from guided prompts. The event will conclude with a short discussion of participants’ experiences of writing during the session, followed by a final reading by Maria and Michael.

The event is suitable for both beginners and more experienced writers, and for artists with an interest in collaboration between photography and text.
