About

Chawan, Japanese teabowls, have long been cherished as symbols of simplicity and harmony, all virtues revered in the Japanese tea ceremony. The Embassy of Japan presents an exhibition of thirteen artists in the United Kingdom who have embraced this art form. It is the third exhibition in the Insight into Beauty series to be held at the Embassy of Japan presenting various aspects of contemporary craft inspired by Japanese materials, techniques and design. Curated by Dr Bonnie Kemske.
