UNICEF FUNDRAISER Travel and portrait photography exhibition. ‘Inside of India’
About
The collection of photographs is a combination of a two-year project that took Massimo across north India. He takes the viewer from New Delhi down to Mumbai, and stopping off in places such as the spiritual epicentre of India Varanasi and the visually stunning blue City of Jodhpur. But the main focus of this exhibition is the people he met and how their stories shaped this project.
The strength of character is the inspiration of this collection of work. The people he photographed may be living in some of the poorest area’s and working for very little money but it is this strength and determination that they are prepared and in fact happy to work hard to bring themselves out of poverty and provide a better future. Their clothing is a perfect representation of this state of mind being so colourful and vibrant, a huge contrast to dimly lit and basic living conditions.
Massimo is donating all profits to Unicef to create a positive impact and hopes his work shows they have not been forgotten.
This collection of work has also received recognition from National Geographic Italia being shortlisted in the ‘People’ category competition 2019.
