APT Gallery is excited to present "Inner Rhythm," a vibrant group exhibition exploring the expressive power of non-representational art. Featuring five of the most dynamic new (and established) artists currently working on the UK abstract art scene – Bijanka Bacic, Erin Bird, Alba Botines, Beñat Olaberria, and Michael Wegerer – this exhibition showcases a stunning and diverse range of abstract approaches spanning multiple perspectives.

Bijanka Bacic invites viewers into seductive colour fields where energetic lines and forms dance with gesture, figure, and geometry. Erin Bird fluidly transforms figuration into flowing abstractions reminiscent of silk, employing a unique waterprinting process.

The artists approach abstraction with individuality, capturing glimpses of personal experience and translating them into captivating visual rhythms. Marks, textures, and layered colours pulsate with energy, revealing the creative processes at work. Brushstrokes, etched lines, and layered colours harmonise in a celebration of dynamic movement.

Alba Botines finds joy in the interplay of colour, line and mark, creating tension and contrasting forms as she embraces painting as a new beginning. Beñat Olaberria offers intimate glimpses of moments in time, his nervous pencil lines and thick acrylics hinting at experience without visual description. Michael Wegerer boldly blurs boundaries, merging the precision of printmaking with the dynamic tactility of sculpture.

The exhibition's title, Inner Rhythm, reflects the intuitive essence of the artworks and the reverberations of their compositions. Viewers are invited to connect with the unseen rhythms of artistic expression. In keeping with the contemporary zeitgeist, this unique collaboration is the result of the artists' initial connection on social media, leading to the co-creation of the exhibition.
