About
A special evening awaits at the opening of James Wood's new show 'Ink, Skin and Bosch' at Shogun Studios next Friday.
Upstairs showcases an ambitious series of new paintings that reimagine the world's most famous portraits. these include DaVinci’s ‘Mona Lisa’, Shergil’s ‘Woman Painting’, Vermeer’s ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’, Frida Kahlo’s self portrait and Picasso’s ‘Portrait of Dora Maar’.
In the basement James showcases a series of tattoos inspired by 'The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things' by Heironymous Bosch. The participants were unaware beforehand what imagery they would be living with forever - most are happy their decision to participate, such is life.......
