About
INDUSTRIOUS: Drawings of workspace in London & Somerset by Lucinda Rogers
Rook Lane Arts
This is a selling exhibition of new drawings from around Frome, with a few additional drawings previously shown at the London Architecture Festival 2015.
Lucinda Rogers, the renowned artist and illustrator, draws in pen, wash and graphite on the street, often for 6 hours at a time. With INDUSTRIOUS, she will explore workshops, garages and other working premises integral to small businesses, which are so often under threat from redevelopment.
In addition to her work as a reportage artist, Lucinda Rogers has a flourishing career as an illustration, working for The Independent, The Times, Guardian, the New Yorker and many other titles.
Rook Lane Arts is a community arts centre at the heart of the vibrant town of Frome, administered by NVB Architects with an ambitious program of yearlong events. Speakers at Rook Lane Talks recently included Assemble, the winners of the Turner Prize 2015. Lucinda Rogers will give a talk about the INDUSTRIOUS exhibition on May 17th and tickets will be available via the Rook Lane website.
