PARADICE PALASE is pleased to present their 4th Annual Open Call show titled "In the Wake of Sleep", guest juried by artist and Assistant Director of EFA Studios Program Natalia Nakazawa. The exhibition features work by 37 US-based artists selected in consideration of this year’s theme "dreams". From the show prompt:

Dreaming is a state of mind, a powerful tool fueled by ambition and the pureness of hope. It can craft utopic destinations and transform our way of living into something truly exceptional. Dreams are, in its essence, the seed of change - for ourselves, for our neighborhoods and cities, and for the next generation. In dreaming we become unconscious mystics and conscious visionaries. How then can dreaming impact the world order, both simulated and real?

The exhibition will be on view from May 15th - June 9th, with an opening reception on Saturday May 15th, 1-8pm and public hours on Saturdays 1-5pm and by appointment. The gallery will be closed May 26th - May 31st. The location is 1260 Broadway in Bushwick between the Kosciuszko or Gates JZ train stops and right outside the B47 / Q24 bus lines.

Please note RSVP is encouraged but not required to attend the opening. Priority entry will be given to those who RSVP. If you feel sick, please stay home. Masks and social distancing are required while inside the gallery; hand sanitizer is available. No food or drink inside the gallery.
