The second exhibition of the gallery in the series "In the Spirit of Dante" in the Dante year 2021. New works by the artists Rolf Behm and Boris Kahnert that approach motifs from the Divina Commedia will be shown.
About
Boris Kahnert dedicates his installations to the role of light, vision and cosmology in Dante's work. With a series of colored photo prints on acrylic glas in illuminated light boxes, he takes up themes from the Paradiso chants and Dante's journey to the fixed star sky and to Empyrean. In his canvas works, Rolf Behm turns to the overlapping sky disks and spherical harmonies of Dante and creates multi-layered works in mixed media in green, yellow and orange-red tones. For lovers of smaller and very small formats, he offers a series of so called "Dantinis", drawings on cardboard in credit card format, so that everyone can carry a small Dante in the wallet.
